In the post-COVID19 era, Retail is all about E-Commerce and Cybersecurity is a critical component for securing potential and existing customers. Customer data would include several Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and these need to be protected. This means implementing Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) so that the credit card information is secured. It also means that the e-commerce infrastructure should have High-Availability as otherwise any downtime would lead in loss of revenue. All these are part of the new normal for a Retail outfit which needs to ensure that Cyber Governance is in place.
